The solution is to contact the Sprint/T-Mobile “Merging Support Desk” and have your Sprint account merged into T-Mobile. We’re not sure why this impacts the service plan, but it does. Until this occurs, the T-Mobile SIM card will not work. Note: If you have been a Sprint customer and have recently received a T-Mobile SIM card, but the billing account is still handled by Sprint, you will need to have your old Sprint account “merged” to T-Mobile. It does work with T-Mobile’s Visual Voicemail system, which is nice. However, depending on your area, you might get along with the F1 just fine on T-Mobile, as there are plenty of other T-Mobile bands that the F1 supports.
